L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

This is a still unnamed and unpriced red that I'll call 2020 GR99 Viñedos de Paso. Produced with friends, it's a blend of 85% Tempranillo and 15% Garnacha from a 127-year-old vineyard in the Barranco de Valseca in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. It is a very aromatic, floral and showy wine with elegance and some spicy oak after maturing in second-use French barrel for 12 months including malolactic. It's medium-bodied and has very good freshness and very fine tannins. Only 500 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2022.

Tim Atkin:

Milgrano comes from a 128-year-old, 0.32-hectare parcel in the Barranco de Valseca in San Vicente de la Sonsierra and is the kind of site that takes your breath away. Planted with Tempranillo, 12% Garnacha and 3% other varieties, the terroir has produced an engagingly fresh, leyeres red with floral top notes, chalky intensity, stylish new oak and succulent red berry fruit. 2024-30
