The Wine Advocate:

The single-vineyard 2019 Finca Paso Malo comes from 70-year-old vines at 750 meters in altitude in the Venta del Pino Valley on alluvial limestone soils and an east-facing exposition. The vineyard has to be worked by hand because the vines are not planted in rows (tresbolillo). It fermented with some 10% full clusters in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in well-seasoned, neutral 500-liter French oak barrels (from 2007) for 14 months. It's fresh and balanced, with a perfumed nose, with elegance and power, depth and complexity. It's medium-bodied and has fine-grained, chalky tannins and finishes very tasty, with an almost saline touch. 1,200 bottles and 20 magnums were filled in May 2021.
