L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

Spiced cherries, plums and touches of vanilla, ink, graphite, cocoa powder and mushrooms follow through to a linear, medium-bodied palate with fine-grained tannins. Juicy, firm and quite long. A textbook gran reserva from Ribera del Duero that shows outstanding quality. Drinkable now, but will hold. (Zekun Shuai).

Tim Atkin:

The two Burgos villages of Anguix and Quintanamanvirgo were the sources of this impressive Gran Reserva from Ribera del Duero's largest producer. Very much a wine from a more Atlantic vintage, this has the concentration and poise to develop well in bottle, with granular tannins, sweet, spicy French and American wood, tangy blackberry and orange peel fruit and good structure. 2024-30.
