L'avis des experts

Tim Atkin:

Unusually for a white wine, Phinca Hapa Blanco is made with carbonic maceration before ageing in foudres. Partnering Viura, 12% Garnacha Blanca and 6% Malvasía, it has plenty of structure, some black tea tannins, layers of beeswax, fennel and wild flowers, a hint of honey and a racy, high acid finish. A successful low-intervention style. 2024-28.

The Wine Advocate:

The carbonic maceration white 2021 Phinca Hapa Blanco was produced with Viura, 12% Garnacha Blanca and 6% Malvasía Riojana, and it is ripe at 14.5% alcohol and has a pH of 3.3. It matured in a 2,700-liter oak foudre for one year. It has an exotic nose that is aromatic and showy, with notes of yellow fruit, perfume and herbs. It has a seamless palate with fine tannins, freshness and balance. 2,960 bottles were filled in November 2023. (Luis Guitérrez).
