Pai Edición Especial 2023

Pai – father in Galician – is a tribute to Xurxo Alba's dad and the historic style of Albariño that was made in what is now Rías Baixas, with malolactic in smaller chestnut barrels. This 2022 uses German oak, but you get the general idea. The result is a stunning Albariño that would give a Coche-Dury white Burgundy a run for its euros. Gunflint, grapefruit, patisserie spice and wet stone flavours combine hauntingly on the palate. 2023-30
