L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

Blackberries, blackcurrants, tomato leaves and pencil lead on the nose. Medium-bodied with firm, chalky tannins. Fresh and structured. Pretty cabernet character. Drink from 2022.

The Wine Advocate:

Even more herbaceous than the 2018, the 2019 Leeu Passant Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon is savory and has a compact frame, dusty red cherry aromas, hints of sweet red bell pepper, notions of wild herbs and a dusty minerality. Medium to full-bodied, the wine compresses on the palate with a food-friendly expression that is slightly more open-knit than the previous vintage, followed by somewhat drying tannins, graphite elements and a rocky essence.
