L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

Pristine and fruity with spiced dark cherries, white pepper and some flowers. A medium- to full-bodied mencia with juicy berries and dark cherries supported by fresh, tight tannins. Drink now.

The Wine Advocate:

The eponymous red 2021 Losada was produced with Mencía and 2% Jerez (Palomino) and 1% Godello from ripe grapes that achieved 13.9% alcohol while keeping balance and freshness. It matured in barriques (10% of them new) and 2,000-liter oak foudres for 12 months, and the wine has some creaminess and notes of spicy oak but is quite integrated and seamless. It gives very spicy flavors and some dusty tannins that would welcome food. 120,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2023. (Luis Guitérrez)
