Las Tierras de Javier Rodríguez Finca El Teso 2012

I thought I was tasting the 2012 Las Tierras Finca El Teso from a magnum, but then I realized it was just a grossly oversized bottle. It could be a stereotype, but bigger is not always better. The wine shows lots of oak and some volatility, possibly from a long time in new oak—36 months. It also wears a too large price tag. 1,207 bottles and 25 magnums were filled in June 2016.
