L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

A pretty nose of dark plum, mulberry, olive, mocha and cigar box. Full-bodied with firm tannins. Structured, focused and layered with a long finish. Tempranillo. Vegan. Drink from 2022.

Decanter:

This vinous jewel is a show of restraint and discreet elegance. It's wonderfully grained, so deep and young with layers of spice, herbs, dark fruit, olive and other savoury notes. The palate is crisp with soft, abundant tannins and an extremely long, oaky finish. A step beyond the norm.

Tim Atkin:

Cáceres' icon red combines Tempranillo with 5% Graciano, sourced from six old-vine parcels in the Rioja Alta and Alavesa sub-regions. Concentrated, self-assured and built to develop in bottle along lines that owe as much to Bordeaux as to Rioja, this has intense flavours of cassis, blackberry and mint, spicy, scented oak, sculpted tannins and a persistent finish. 2026-36
