The Wine Advocate:

The 2020 Escondite del Ardacho Las Guillermas was produced with grapes from a 70-year-old vineyard in Lanciego, 60% Viura and 40% Tempranillo, which despite being from a warm place, the wine keeps 14% alcohol and has high acidity (7.84 grams of tartaric acid). The full clusters fermented in open-top vats, and the wine matured in second-use French oak barrels for nine months. It has the advantage of time (all the reds here are powerful and structured and benefit from time) but also a cooler year (at least compared with 2022), plus the high percentage of white grapes that add acidity to the wine. It comes through as serious, expressive and clean, balanced and with elegant tannins. 1,305 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2021. This is the only single vineyard that was not affected by the hail of 2021 and could be bottled that year. - Luis Gutiérrez.
