The single-vineyard red 2020 El Esquilón comes from an ancient cordón trenzado plot at 450 to 550 meters above sea level. It fermented with 100% full clusters and indigenous yeasts and had 25 days of maceration, and it matured in used 500-liter oak barrels for 14 months. It has a moderate 12.5% alcohol and very good balance. This is paler and more reductive than the 2021 I tasted next to it. It has less mid-palate and feels quite austere. 4,100 bottles were filled in December 2021. - Luis Gutiérrez.

Diferente a lo habitual, claramente volcánico. En boca muy suave y prolongado. Muy bueno
Tanto en nariz como en boca, esta añada 2018 es claramente inferior a la anterior. Mala RCP.
Diferente, muy mineral. Repetiré sin duda.
