Cíes Albariño 2022

The 2022 Cíes is a faithful reflection of the warmer year with rounder wines and more integrated acidity. It's tender and balanced, with a silky texture and a clean finish. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2023. - Luis Gutiérrez. 

Cies is a white that Rodri Mendez sells under his own name rather than the Forjas del Salnés umbrella. Barrel fermented in older oak, with four months on lees, it showcases the village of Meaño. Rich, textured and complex, it has layers of fennel, beeswax and dried coconut, some skin tannins and a pithy, refreshing finish. 2023-30
