Banzao Mencía Vino de Paraje La Cruz 2021

The 2021 Mencía Paraje La Cruz is a red from the same place where she produces a white with Doña Blanca grapes, one of the coolest places of the village at 739 meters above sea level and with different expositions, planted with a field blend of Mencía and 5% other grapes. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and 35% full clusters in stainless steel and oak barrels and matured in 225- and 500-liter barrels for nine months. It has 12% alcohol and a pH of 3.68 with 5.4 grams of acidity. It's floral and fruit-driven and has a medium-bodied palate with very fine tannins. 2,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2023.
