L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

Nothing during the season pointed at the possibility of obtaining fine-boned wines in 2022, but the miracle happened. The pale rosé (or rather clarete...) 2022 Le Rosé was produced with a 50/50 blend of white and red grapes (Albillo and Tempranillo) but treated like a serious (light) red wine and fermented and matured in new 600-liter oak barrels. It matured with the lees for seven months. It's ripe and powerful at 14.5% alcohol but is balanced by freshness and acidity, with complex aromas and flavors of decayed roses, herbs and white pepper. It has a dry, serious, balanced and chalky palate with very tasty, focused and clean flavors. 1,739 bottles and 53 magnums produced. It was bottled in May 2023. It should develop nicely in bottle. (Luis Gutiérrez).

James Suckling:

More of a light copper-orange hue this year, showing positive oxidative handling. This serious, complex wine has spices, chalk, minerals and orange peel. Full-bodied and substantial, remaining uncommonly elegant for a rosé. 50% tempranillo and 50% albillo, directly pressed. Fermented in 600-liter new oak barrels. Drink or hold. (Zekun Shuai).
